I didn’t renew immediately when my certification expired. Can I still renew?

Yes, but your renewal runs from the date of your last expiration. For example, let’s say you had either taken the original certification or renewed your certification January 10, 2020, which means your certification expires January 10, 2021. If you decide Sept 1, 2023 to renew, you must renew:

Jan 10, 2021 – Jan 10, 2022
Jan 10, 2022 – Jan 10, 2023
Jan 10, 2023 – Jan 10, 2024

This means you’ll need a quantity of 3 renewals and 30 hours of continuing education. Otherwise, it would be unfair to those who have stayed current.
