Back to Course

Remote students on the Emotional Track should complete this lesson.

Physical Track students may wish to read the recommended book – Handbook of Chakra Healing (and will have watched the Paul Grilley Chakra video), but there is no assignment for you to turn in.

Assignment:

Create a presentation to teach something you’ve learned about the Chakras either through this course material or another resources. Imagine your audience members are your fellow RYT300 students. How long is your presentation? 30-90 minutes. You can include a yoga practice, meditation, pranayama, audio/visual presentations, demonstrations, lectures..however you’d teach it in a live classroom. You will video yourself giving the presentation or you can request a Zoom meeting.

If you read the Handbook of Chakra Healing. you may select a topic to create a presentation from that book. This was a recommended, but not required book. You may use the Paul Grilley Chakra information or other resources instead of the Handbook of Chakra Healing.

Examples of past presentations by students:

1) Essential Oils and Chakras: The student did a wonderful presentation on which essential oils benefitted each different chakra. She provided a written chakra test beforehand, and asked each student to have the oil that corresponded to the chakra they were most deficient in. Then, as she moved through a yoga practice, she used affirmations for each chakra and asked you to take a moment to inhale your specific oil during different poses, and asked everyone to use their oil during some poses such as Sukhasana.

2) Mudras and Chakras: The student taught a beautiful gentle practice offering asanas to benefit each chakra and pairing it with a mudra for that chakra. She first explained mudras to us and gave us a little history on mudras and talked about how they compliment our work with chakras.

3) Chakras and Sequencing: The student presented an exploration of different ways of sequencing working through the Earth (lower 3) and Heaven (upper 4) chakras and how she felt the different ways of sequencing were beneficial for different people/circumstances. For example, she talked about why one might choose to start with the third eye, the heart, the root or the crown chakras. Then she led us through 3 simple meditations for each chakra and started each one with a different chakra to let us experience different sequencing for ourselves.

Live Students: You will present live.

Remote Physical Track Students: There is nothing to turn in.

Remote Emotional Track Students: Upload a video of your presentation or reach out if you’d prefer to Zoom and I’ll try to schedule some students to watch!

Upload videos and windows format documents only. No mac format documents.

Note: This assignment is different from Chakra Theory Assignment 1. The first assignment asks you to summarize what you learned in the Theory course, while this assignment asks you to pick one specific area you want to demo or teach to us. You may or may not use Paul Grilley’s course video material in this assignment, whereas you will definitey use it in the previous assignment.
