Purpose of a Pre-Assessment
Why do we pre-assess? Because we need to find out their goals (why are seeing us?) and begin to determine how they can reach their goals. If they want to get out of pain, what is causing the pain? Posture? Dysfunctional movement patterns? Chronic muscle contractions? Lifesytle choices, including the way they sit, sleep, work, play? We won’t know all of the answers until they visit us, but we can start to elicit information via phone, text or email before the initial visit.
