Planning 3 Take-Aways
Never let a client leave the first visit without at least 3 items to practice at home. You might give them even more to do, but if you are still working on putting their program together at the end of their first visit, you can still give them the following items. These are useful for all clients.
- Mindfulness
- Find at least one way to be more mindful this week
- Make this a specific item, such as setting their watch for a mindfulness check-in twice daily, where the client spends a full minute observing how they are feeling
- Pranayama
- Teach your client a specific, simple pranayama
- If you are worried about a contraindication simply ask the client to use a full, deep breath as their pranayama
- Ask them to commit to practice their pranayama at least 1 full minute in the morning and one full minute in the evening
- You should have learned plenty of pranayama in your RYT200
- If this was not the case, please notify me so I can assist you
- Meditation
- Teach your client a specific, simple meditation
- Ask your client to commit to practicing the meditation at least one full minute once daily
- You will get some meditations in the 300 hour class, but you should have learned plenty in your RYT200
- If this was not the case, please notify me so I can assist you40
