Chakra Balancing Assignment

Complete the following assignments and upload the videos. Most computers and phones will take videos and it doesn’t need to be a high quality video.

1) Video yourself administering a chakra test of your choice to a volunteer. If it is a written test, you may simply upload the results of the written test you are using (your client does not have to put their real name on the test). If you are using kinesiology, a pendulum or other testing methods, please video yourself performing the test, including the part where you give the client instructions about the test.

2) Based on the test results from step #1, tell me which chakras you feel need work and how you feel they should be worked on. Do you see an excess or deficiency in 1 or more chakras? What specific tools will you offer your client?

Create a video of yourself telling your client about the test results and showing them the chakra work you want them to do. This would include leading them through any chakra meditations, asanas, pranayama, aromatherapy use, etc.

If your client has a lot of chakras that are out of balance, you might use a general meditation and asana practice for all chakras, and then focus on the chakra that seems most problematic for more detailed work.

Note: It is fine (and even great!) for you to use the programs that are already outlined for you in the Govinda book. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel if these programs work for you. For example, there are Chakra-Yoga Programs toward the back of the book that gives you specific asana and meditation that includes a breathing exercise. There are specific protocols outlined for each chakra for using aromatherapy, plants, gemstones, daily lifestyle habits, Bach flowers, vocalizations, affirmations and chakra energy massages. You might decide the program is perfect as it is outlined in the book. In that case, simply video yourself teaching this to your client. Of course, feel free to modify it or create your own program.
