If not balanced, Chakra 3 can be extremely destructive to not only you, but those around you as well. Let’s look at a few ways that we can work on creating a controlled Chakra!

Chakra 3, known as Manipura, is located in the Solar Plexus, which is in the pit of the stomach. The element associated with this Chakra is fire, meaning that controlled power and greatness is passionate and powerful. If your fire becomes uncontrolled, it can be very dangerous and destructive to you and those around you. This chakra is also the charismatic chakra. People who are balanced in the third chakra are often good at getting others to do what they want. Let’s take a look at different ways to balance your Manipura chakra.

#1 Good digestion
Keeping your digestive system on track is beneficial when balancing this chakra. One rule to live by is to not eat before your last meal has been digested.

#2 Having the Right Attitude about Food
Feasting not only with food, but with your mind makes for a balances chakra. Keep a positive, healthy attitude before, during, and after eating.

#3 Positive Affirmations
Reverse negative thoughts by repeating phrases such as “I am motivated to pursue my goals” and “I am capable” to create positive patterns.

#4 Crystals
Using crystals with yellow hues, such amber, citrine, and yellow sapphire, can help balance your chakra. You can carry them in your pocket or place them on your body while meditating.

#5 Balancing foods
Much like the crystals, think of yellow foods when looking to balance this chakra. Foods such as bananas, pineapple, corn, and yellow curry are some examples.
